Living now in Netanya
"Netanya feels like a city in the midst of a powerful metamorphosis, where the salt air of the Mediterranean meets the relentless, rhythmic sound of construction cranes building the future."
Approval of the 'Golf Complex' Neighborhood
The Central District Planning and Building Committee has greenlit a massive new residential project featuring 1,656 housing units, expansive commercial space, a metropolitan park, and a designated site for a new regional hospital to serve the growing population.
Aggressive Urban Renewal and Expansion
The city is actively replacing older housing stock with modern, high-density residential towers, including projects like the 16-story developments replacing older terraced housing, as part of a master plan to accommodate a projected population of 440,000.
Infrastructure for a Growing Metropolis
Extensive development is underway in the Agam Gimmel neighborhood and the Harry Greental site, where major infrastructure work—including road redirection and advanced drainage systems—is laying the groundwork for new high-rise residential clusters.
Diverse Community Integration
Netanya continues to solidify its role as a vibrant, multi-cultural hub, serving as a home to significant immigrant communities from France, the former Soviet Union, and Ethiopia, all while maintaining its status as one of Israel's largest and most diverse municipalities.

About Netanya
Netanya sits on a bluff over the Mediterranean, and the first thing your body learns here is the water. Not vacation water — daily water. Sandstone cliffs drop to nine kilometers of open beach, and the light coming off the sea in the late afternoon makes Miami feel loud and gray by comparison. You can finish work, walk ten minutes, and put your feet in warm surf while the sun goes down pink over the waves. Palm trees line the promenades as ordinary street trees. Bougainvillea spills over the balconies in fuchsia and orange. In the markets the produce is startling to anyone coming from a diaspora supermarket — tomatoes that actually taste of sun, oranges and clementines heavy with juice, dates and figs sold by people who grew them an hour away. There is a large, warm French and Anglo community here, so a newcomer is never the only one finding their footing. Netanya is for the family that wants the sea to be part of daily life, wants a gentler cost than Tel Aviv, and wants to feel, every single day, that they are living somewhere their body was made to be.
